ABOUT THIS LIVE FUNDRAISING EVENT
Travel with us to the distant corners of the earth during this special virtual fundraising event as we examine the impacts of our work on a global scale through international rescue stories. We'll explore the incredible rescue that was carried out in Puerto Rico earlier this year, as it is likely the largest zoo rescue in history! The Wild Animal Sanctuary's rescue team was there to save over 700 animals from a terrible life of suffering and death.
See first-hand how the Sanctuary's global presence has saved countless lives in need and inspired local citizens, underground movements, and foreign governments to head off the captive wildlife problem, preventing these countries from ending up in the same crisis found here in America. This interactive online event was recorded while in progress, so we have now posted a copy of the broadcast in the video player above.

PUERTO RICO RESCUE

This event was produced by Stage2Studios and The Wild Animal Sanctuary in response to the Sanctuary's work in saving more than 700 animals that were trapped in an old decaying zoo on the island of Puerto Rico. This involved numerous massive airlifts from Puerto Rico to many destinations on the U.S. mainland. The Wild Animal Sanctuary took in the African Lions, Black Bears and other animals that were in dire need of help - while many of the unique species our Sanctuary does not normally rescue going to other sanctuaries around the U.S. The event lasted more than 70 minutes, and with the amazing help of thousands of generous viewers, within 20 minutes of the broadcast ending we were able to raise over $550,000 for the animals! This amazing feat was due in part to the highly insightful content that was shared throughout the broadcast - but also due to the immense compassion that each viewer felt as they watched the story of so many animals being saved. Each animal's story remains immensely important to learn about, as well as pass on to others, so please take the time to watch the recording and share it with your friends, family and colleagues.
KOREAN BEAR RESCUE

This event was produced by Stage2Studios and The Wild Animal Sanctuary in response to the Sanctuary's work in saving 22 Asiatic Black Bears that were trapped in a "Bile Bear" extraction farm. This involved a massive dedicated airlift from South Korea all the way to Los Angeles, CA - and then on to the Wild Animal Refuge in southern Colorado. The event lasted for more than 60 minutes, and with the amazing help of thousands of generous viewers, we were able to raise over one million dollars for the animals! This truly incredible feat was due in part to the highly insightful content that was shared throughout the broadcast - but also due to the immense compassion that each viewer felt as the real story behind this incredible rescue. Tiger King Rescue

This event was produced by Stage2Studios and The Wild Animal Sanctuary in response the hundreds of animals that had to be rescued from a number of the "Tiger King" characters - as well as the countless others that continue to wait for the day when they too will be freed from a life of exploitation and misery. Although the event only lasted 55 minutes, with the amazing help of thousands of generous viewers, we were able to raise over $600,000 for the animals! This truly incredible feat was due in part to the highly insightful content that was shared throughout the broadcast - but also due to the immense compassion that each viewer felt as the real story behind these Tiger Kingdoms came to light.
